How to find us
We are nestled in a sleepy ancient hamlet of just seven properties, within walking distance to the charming village of St Macoux, halfway between Poitiers and Angouleme, in western France.
We are approximately 1.5 hours drive to the coast, our nearest coastal towns being La Rochelle and Rochefort and in an area renowned for being one of the sunniest in France.
Getting here
There are many different ways of getting to us from the UK. We are within easy reach of the N10 and next to the Paris to Ruffec TVG line with our closest train stations being St Saviol (5km) and Ruffec (10km)
- Train: You can get the Eurostar to Lille or Paris and the TGV to Poitiers or Ruffec.
- Plane: Fly direct with Ryan Air from Stanstead to Poitiers or La Rochelle.
- Drive: Our nearest towns our Civray and Ruffec just off the N10.
Although we recommend that you have a car which will enable you to take full advantage of the local area we can arrange to collect you from the airport or train station and provide transport to the supermarket and local restaurants. Please contact us for further details.
